The greatest creations are those that as you create them, you get lost in your thoughts, by the time you're tired of thinking you're holding in your hands, something from deep within...

Welcome inside my head, my heart...

Sphinx :)

Yes! I have finished my Sphinx. :D

This is the third class in the gourd series with Marilyn Radzat being held at Thatcreativeplace.com. This is a BIG gourd. A much bigger scale than I'm used to, no wonder it took so much longer to finish!

She opens and is trinket box, inside is mosaic glass & a velvet pillow.

I'll admit, i have a crush on the little inchworm handles ;)

Thanks so much for coming to visit me!

Big hugs,
Sprite

Well its been a while since i posted because I dont have that much to show.
I've been making progress but veeerry slooowly... Where does the time go?

I did a little more detailing my slightly larger playful (cat-like) dragon who is just about ready for the oven! ohh and I started another baby dragon! :) These little guys are soo much fun for me!

I will post progress pics, when i am able to make progress ;).
Here they are together, the small one is about 2 inches, and the slightly larger one about 4 1/2.
I am building display scenes for both, i loove "dioramas" ;) Please check back to see their progress.

Big hugs

New Doll Wip

I started a new doll! :)
She's a larger poseable one she'll probly be about 14 inches when complete.
She'll be wearing a corset, or something like it.... which is why her chest looks like that...

I have so many projects I had intended to wrap up last weekend, before our upcoming trip, but came home Thursday from work with what felt pretty similar to the flu! Glad thats over with.

This is as far as I'm going to get before we leave, shes only got half of one eyebrow and half of a half set of eyelashes ha ha :) But here she is anyway....

Hugs, Lisa *Sprite*

The Bower

The Second Class was working with gourds, creating our "within" space.

Amazing project. I love working with gourds!
Here are the different views from each of 3 archways....

My little dragons' home is now complete. :)

Lady Bug :)

I have finally snapped a few pictures of my finished lady bug.

This is the first class in the series with Marilyn Radzat working with gourds.

If you have the opportunity and the interest in the series, take it, you will be glad you did :)

Say hello to my little bug! :)

Uni

I finished this piece months ago, it was my second attempt at sculpting a unicorn,
the first one came out very stocky, thats what i get for trying to learn from a bronze sculpture! ;)

This one came out a closer to what i wanted to achieve but i still have a lot to learn.

Thanks for looking.

Sphinx Head :)

I've had a wonderfully creative week :) I'm finally getting some things acomplished. I'm so excited!

This is the head and hands for my Sphinx, one of the series of classes i'm taking working with gourds with Marilyn Radzat. I used the roll of wire to hold her head as i sculpted it (as you can see my stands in the background are full of wips!) But it inspired me :) I think she will be wearing gold rings around her long neck, the idea is similar to the african long neck women only she will have a collar coming up around her face, with dagger/shards beneath the collar. Her face and hands will be part flesh, and part stone, as if she has slowly turned into stone over time. This is my vision, but we will see where she will take me :)

Thanks for visiting! Hugs, Sprite
